At BBA Finance we believe we offer something rather unique in the Commercial Property Finance space, a firm that is dedicated to getting to know you and your business needs so we can best represent you to our extensive network of funders.
We offer impartial specialist funding solutions, whatever your specific requirements. Our long experience covers cycles when finance has been readily available, as well as periods when liquidity has been tight. Whatever the underlying market conditions, we commit to using our best endeavours to structure and deliver the most suitable and available terms to our clients. This principle applies whether our clients are seeking capital for construction, developments or property investment.
Andrew Barstow established Barstow Associates in 1981 and has dealt with property development companies, asset holders, banks, funders, mezzanine and equity providers and associated professionals throughout. In 2019 we moved to our new office in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
Derek Bradstock joined Andrew in partnership in May 2019 after he had spent over 35 years working for a variety of funders, specialising for well over 25 years in the Real Estate Finance space.
In the past couple of years, BBA Finance has expanded its practice with the appointment of Gurgit Basi who joined the firm as an Associate Partner. Gurgit is a very experienced property banker, Gurgit has over 30 years of funding experience with high street and challenger banks. More recently Gary Feast and Matthew Anderson have joined BBA Finance as Associate Partners to the business both with extensive property and financial background which further complements our business.
The partners are supported by Michael Smith, Business Development Manager and Laura Hayward, Marketing Executive both readily available in the office to provide help and support with your day-to-day enquires.
Together they have over 15 decades of experience and are well-placed to assist their clients and find the bespoke funding solution to fit their business needs.

Derek Bradstock
Managing Partner
Derek joined BBA Finance in 2019 to work alongside Andrew to lead the firm’s growth in offering its clients bespoke financial solutions to their property funding requirements.
With a 35-year banking background, over 25 of which were spent specialising in real estate finance with high street banks, challenger banks and privately-owned specialist property funders. Derek is well placed to find funding solutions to meet a client’s individual needs.
Outside of work Derek can be found looking for his golf balls around his local course in Marlborough, enjoying his love of good food, fine wine and keeping an eye on the rugby scores as a keen Gloucester and England follower.

Gurgit Basi
Associate Partner
Gurgit joined BBA Finance in 2020 after a 30+ year career in Banking, 20-years of which he spent in Real Estate Finance both as a new business originator and a relationship manager.
With strong knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the sector, marketplace, competitive offerings and lender guidelines and policies, his skills further supplements our business.
Outside of work Gurgit is a season ticket holder at his local football club, enjoys playing golf and trying to keep fit to counteract his favourite pastime of socialising!

Matthew Anderson
Associate Partner
Matthew Anderson joined BBA Finance in 2023 with an impressive career spanning more than 25 years of banking and short-term lending experience in the residential property sector.
Throughout his distinguished journey, Matt has held prominent positions, showcasing his exceptional skills and knowledge.
Based in Epsom, Matt brings his enthusiasm and dedication to delivering exceptional financial services to our valued clients.
Outside of work, Matt is a keen supporter of grassroots football and is heavily involved in the running of his local club. This also gives him the opportunity to indulge in a beer or two.

Andy Gray
Finance Broker
Andy joined the specialist finance market in 2015 and has held roles with high-street banks, and challenger banks honing his skill at assessing, preparing, and taking deals forward with credit committees.
With almost a decade under his belt working with lenders, Andy deeply understands how to package and prepare a deal for a lender to ensure a smooth process and the best outcome. Most recently he has been a specialist in the development and bridging market.
Outside of work, Andy is a keen runner and enjoys getting out in nature to clock the miles! Andy has been married for almost 10 years, and he and his wife have 2 daughters. When he isn’t running, he’ll be with his 2 daughters, carting them to one of their many sports clubs and activities.

As a founding partner, Andrew has been assisting property developers and investors for almost 40 years.
He specialises in seeking facilities which work and his dedication, professionalism, extensive knowledge and experience of the funding market set him apart from the crowd.
Outside of work, Andrew has a taste for good food and red wine, balanced out by long walks with his dog Harry and the weekly circuit classes he attends religiously.

Gary Feast - FCCA
Consultant
Gary joined BBA Finance in 2023 with a strong property and financial background as a chartered accountant with over 30 number of years experience within the Finance and Surveying industry, currently engaged as Finance Director for J Raymond Welch Surveyors.
Throughout his career he has worked very closely with property developers, investors and funders, bringing a wealth of experience in providing professional and structured advice to his clients.
Outside of work, Gary can be found with a shotgun, rifle or golf club in hand. A keen marksman whose prowess in the shooting range is perhaps more reliable than his accuracy on a golf course.

Michael Smith
Business Development Manager
Michael joined BBA Finance in 2020 to support the partners with their marketing strategies, deal management and provide a much needed more “youthful” approach to the firms connectivity to our clients and professional partners!
Having spent his career in sales, customer service and marketing, Michael spent 2 years living and working in Australia before returning to the UK and working in the recruitment sector specialising in marketing and business development.
Outside of work Michael enjoys going to the gym and long walks in the countryside with the family dog.

Laura Hayward
Business Development Manager
Laura joined BBA Finance in 2021 as Marketing Executive to support the partners. Laura’s role includes working with the partners on marketing strategy, client accounts, and documentation preparation.
Laura’s background is in Project Management in compliance and IT, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to support the team. You will always find her with a cup of tea.
Outside work Laura enjoys spending time with her teenage children and partner, loves to go on holiday and socialising with friends.
